Abstract

Syarikat pembuatan pengusaha kecil dan sederhana (PKS) memainkan peranan penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi dan pencemaran alam sekitar global. Kini, konsep hijau yang mengambilkira kepentingan alam sekitar dalam amalan pengurusan semakin menjadi keutamaan syarikat pembuatan untuk mencapai keberdayasaingan. Namun, PKS menghadapi kesukaran untuk mengguna pendekatan sedia ada disebabkan kekangan sumber. Kertas kerja ini mencadang kerangka konsep pelaksanaan amalan hijau (GP) dengan menggarap penggunaan kaedah 5S dan 3R untuk memenuhi keperluan syarikat pembuatan PKS di Malaysia. Kajian terdahulu membuktikan amalan 5S berjaya menambahbaik prestasi syarikat tanpa memerlukan pelaburan yang besar. Manakala aktiviti 3R adalah asas bagi GP, dan ia dilihat mampu dilaksana oleh PKS untuk mengurangkan kesan alam sekitar. Di akhir kertas kerja ini, beberapa cadangan terhadap penggabungan konsep 5S dan 3R dibentang. Ia menumpu kepada operasi pembuatan dan sokongan untuk membantu PKS dalam menambahbaik prestasi operasi dan alam sekitar ke arah pembangunan lestari, sekaligus memberi mereka kelebihan untuk berdaya saing.
