Pembangunan Pembakar Bahan Api Cecair Beremisi Rendah di UTM

Sebuah unit pembakar bahan api cecair yang beremisi rendah telah dibangunkan. Pembakar ini terdiri daripada beberapa komponen utama seperti kebuk pembakar, pemusar udara, pemancit bahan api, sistem bekalan udara dan bahan api. Pembakar ini telah diuji dengan melakukan ujikaji ke atas dua jenis pemusar udara, iaitu pemusar udara aliran jejarian jenis ram rata dan ram lengkung. Hasil ujikaji menunjukkan bahawa pembakar yang dibangunkan berjaya dipraktikkan dan pemusar udara ram lengkung adalah lebih baik daripada ram rata dari segi emisinya. A low emission liquid fuel combustor has been developed. The combustor consists of several main components such as combustion chamber, air swirler, fuel atomiser, air and fuel supply system. The combustor was tested using two different types of air swirler, ie. curved and straight blades radial flow air swirler. The experimental results have shown that the developed combustor can be used for combustion and that the curved blades air swirler showed lower emissions than the straight blades air swirler.Downloads
