UTM JOURNAL RECOGNIZED IN THE MALAYSIA SCOPUS RESEARCH STAR AWARD 2025 – UPHOLDING SCHOLARSHIP, HONOURING QUALITY

PUTRAJAYA, 6 November 2025 – Two distinguished journals published by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), namely the Malaysian Journal of Civil Engineering (MJCE) and Sains Humanika, created another proud milestone after receiving prestigious recognition at the Malaysia Scopus Research Star Award 2025 Gala Night held in conjunction with the Festival of Ideas (FOI) at the Everly Hotel, Putrajaya.

The inspiring event was officiated by YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Bin Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, together with leading academic figures and representatives of research institutions from across the country.

This achievement marks yet another remarkable success for UTM in strengthening the university’s position as a leader in high-quality scholarly publishing in Malaysia and the region. It acknowledges the dedication and perseverance of UTM’s academic community in maintaining editorial standards that meet international benchmarks.

Also present were Prof. Dr. Lokman Bin Mohd Tahir, Editor-in-Chief of Sains Humanika; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Rahmah Binti Awang, Director of UTM Press, representing Prof. Dr. Norhazilan Bin Md. Noor, Editor-in-Chief of the Malaysian Journal of Civil Engineering (MJCE); as well as Prof. Ts. Dr. Intan Zaurah Binti Mat Darus, UTM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), who attended to show full support for the university’s publishing excellence.
