ARC/INFO is an integrated system in which database and graphics are combined together in onc system, and the relationship between them is mainlained. In the graphics section. geographical data can be processed in several modules which have different roles. This means that ARC/INFO splits its GIS functions (tools) in several places which intersupport each other. This new method of data handling and manipulating is known as a tool-box approach. The purpose of this article is to investigate the capability and suitability of ARC/INFO and the significance of the tool-box approach in order to provide a very outstanding system to fulfill the user's ever changing needs.References
