Retraction: THE EFFECT OF STEEL SLAG POWDER ON HMA STABILITY ( DOI: https://doi.org/10.11113/mjce.v34.18383)

The Editor-in-Chief of the Malaysian Journal of Civil Engineering has decided to retract the article titled “THE EFFECT OF STEEL SLAG POWDER ON HMA STABILITY.”

Following a formal complaint, the journal conducted an investigation into the origin of the research presented in the article. The investigation determined that the manuscript was developed from a thesis titled “Effects of Steel Slag as a Modifier for Bitumen in Construction of Flexible Pavement”, completed at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.

The thesis research was found to involve multiple contributors, and the article was prepared and submitted without the knowledge and consent of all contributors to the original thesis work. As such, the publication constitutes a copyright and authorship infringement involving jointly produced research material.

In order to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record, the article is hereby retracted.

This retraction is issued to correct the publication record. The decision does not relate to the validity of the research findings but rather to the lack of consent from all contributors to the original work at the time of submission.

This notice has been issued by the Editor-in-Chief of the Malaysian Journal of Civil Engineering and published by UTM Press.
